Wow. This is like ... I was thinking a dream, or something surreal, and then I thought - he's been hypnotised in order to retrieve his memories of something vital to a case, and this is the representation of what he "sees" under hypnosis, or in a coma ... or something like that! I don't know, but it's an amazing image.
