I know what you mean and I think that's the first time I've used the past tense when referring to LC since he died, and which is why I can't stand seeing him in scenes where he's being beaten up. I don't think it bothered me that much before he died but now I really don't like to see them.
i can fully understand where you are coming from but that part doesn't bother so much because i love a hurt Bodie/Lewis but i hate to use the past tense, i feel myself filling up .
I agree with you but I have to admit that I've never been keen on older lads fic! The whole idea depresses me as I don't want to imagine them as old, it's just too sad and, like James Dean for example, Bodie and Doyle were never meant to grow old! Also, I'm pretty old myself and I don't want to read stories which remind me of real life - for me, a major part of the attraction of the lads is that it's escapist and for that reason I don't like curtain fics either!
older lads fic is something that i read off and on but like you i prefer the lads to be as they are in the show though i must admit to loving Bodie pre ci5 too. Thankyou for your input, i love to know what others like and don't like regards to the lads.
mmmm me too...my main love of fic is hurt/comfort with Bodie doing the hurting, i have a love for him being hurt then the comfortating from his partner ..he suffers so well.
it's strange isn't it the feeling of being overwhelmed, it makes me want to cry every time i think about it and older lads fic does just that and i can't refer to him in the past tense.

I love a Bodie not happy with the world, you just know that's not going to end well for somebody...
Work still awful, but project will soon be over and then I can relax!
