I think you're right, there *are* tears! And the blood looks pretty convincing, too...

to me it looks like tears of pain and the blood does make the scene very convincing and i put that down to Lews brilliant acting.

Thankyou.

I've always loved that they did this - it's so much more convincing than Doyle's broken arm in Looking After Annie (although, to be fair - that was never medically diagnosed).

Seeing this you understand Cowley's reservations about Bodie's fitness, Doyle's concern for the hand when he finds him, and Bodie's inability to handle his weapon even in extremis.

It's a wonderfully clear shot that exposes both Bodie's courage and vulnerability. I know this ep isn't everyone's favourite, but it is one of mine - and this is one of the reasons.

Sorry I've not been about - work as usual - and next week isn't looking much better, but I'll try and keep up - or catch up next weekend.

And there's my BB - not written a word for a fortnight.

oooh i know exactly what you mean , i love this episode too, Bodie going in single handedly even though he is struggling with a hand injury and this scene especially , there are tears in his eyes and that is brought on by pain or sheer frustration but most of all it's brilliant acting by Lewis.

horrid work *g* but it is lovely to hear from you and i hope that your BB story kicks back in to life soon.

Thankyou.

I love how Bodie is portrayed in this episode, with his strengths and vulnerabilities. This ep is a great study in Bodie's character, and greatly acted by Lewis

yes i so agree and those tears which are gathering may be through pain or frustration but he shows why he is so good at his job and it's brilliant acting from Lewis.

Thankyou.
