That's a fine tribute. I don't know if you are a fan of Manic Street Preachers, but they released a new album on Friday and one of the songs references the 96, Liverpool and all that history (not the first time they have done so, either). It's a very stirring song. Here are the lyrics.
Liverpool Revisited
As I wake to a sunset The light dances on the Mersey And I think of the 96 As the tears fall down on me
There is courage/there is pride You can see it in your eyes Fight for justice fight for life There are angels in these skies
As the night falls around me I see joy and devotion These times will never leave Like the rain on the ocean
There is dignity and pride There is poetry and life There are ghosts within these stones There's defiance in these bones.
And all the hatred They tried to throw at you But you stayed so string Yeah all the hatred It never was the truth So keep keeping on This is forever we'll never leave you now This is forever we'll never leave you now
thankyou so much for sharing this, i do listen to the manic street preachers and i was aware of the new album but haven't heard it yet. This sounds like a wonderful tune.

What a terrible thing - I'm so glad that justice was finally done - but it should never have taken so long - and it should never have happened at all.
I'm glad you posted this, it reminds us all that we should always remember.
