Perplexed and a little confused

How long have the new box sets been available to buy now, three years, four, something like that, so why is it that i have only just realised that there are no gallery pictures for the episode Heroes or is it my blu ray copy. I thought the dvd and the blu ray included the same content so why have i found these images but yet they are not on mine. Could anyone help please.

Can't help with that, I don't have any of the new box sets - but some lads is just what I needed right now.

The snow has killed my jalopy - again. I've got a drain on the battery somewhere, but no one can figure out where...all the usual suspects seem to be not guilty.

I'd be interested to see if you get and answer to this conundrum.

oh dear, poor jalopy and a drain on the battery is not good. It's possitively baltic conditions here but thankfully not much in the way of snow.

It's really confusing when you find these hidden images and then start to wonder why they are hidden in the first place.

I have been, lovely therapeutic catch up, before all the mayhem starts again.

They're saying there may be travel disruption down here - looks like mine's started early.

I'm going to have some tea now and have a relax, feel in the right mood now. If next week's as bad as last week, heaven knows when I'll be able to wangle some time for myself again.

I don't think I've got gallery photos for all the episodes, either, but I do seem to have them for Heroes. You're not missing much as there are quite a few from the beginning of the episode on the motorway with the elderly man getting hit. Do check thoroughly though as there are times I can't find an episode and then after checking again and again I do manage to find it!

I have searched through numerous times can you tell me which disc it is on and is it on the DVD or the blu ray.

I never understand the distinction between DVD and blu ray - aren't the blu rays DVDs? Mine is on flash images disc 4 which I bought a long time ago. The episodes all come together on one disc and they're all separate from the flash images which also come together on the one disc. The pictures you've posted are from the galleries so I'm confused.

I've just had a thought... I should have made it clear that my DVDs *are* the blu ray DVDs, I don't know if I made that clear? Have you got the blu rays discs or the other DVDs which have gallery photos? But if they're not blu rays that might explain why you haven't got the Heroes episode.

my box set is the blu ray dvd's and the first series consists of four discs with the last one including all the gallery photos and the list goes in this order

Long shot
Where the jungle ends
Killer with a long arm then it jumps to Private madness public danger, there is no Heroes photos.

Is that in the same order as your photos.

Phew! I'm relieved that we're both talking about blu rays! My blu ray installation etc was done for me as I'm totally hopeless with technical things and it might have been rearranged at the time, but at the moment the order of the first disc is Old Dogs, Long Shot and Long Arm. I'm not sure but I don't think the Anthony Andrews shots came in between them but filed separately with the extras, but I could be completely wrong as I wasn't interested in him at all!

sorry i should have mentioned that the gallery photos nd the extras are on the last disc in the box set and the list i mentioned is the order in which the gallery photos appear. I am getting myself all confused now anyway the upshot of it is that my gallery photos of the episode Heroes has definitely gone astray so i am grateful to you for giving me atleast one photo from the set of images from that episode.

OK, my gallery photos were on separate disc, I think, and this is the order for the one which included Heroes:

Annie
Close Quarters
Various credits
Documentary
??? (sorry, can't read my writing!)
Female Factor
When the Heat Cools
Heroes
Jungle
etc. etc.

I won't be able to do it immediately but I will try and get more images to you of the ones I think you'll like i.e. Bodie! (there aren't that many good ones from that episode in the galleries section). Apparently they were 'ripped' for me which I don't understand at all, far too complicated for me.

awww thankyou so much , that's so kind of you. Your photo order is different than mine and don't worry i know what you mean by having yours ripped. I think for me to see the full set of images for the episode Heroes i would have to buy another copy.

oh i do remember and this is what is driving me to buying the latest box set, the one that was released back in September, my head says don't for the sake of one set of images but my heart is saying otherwise *g*

the difference between blu ray dvd's and the ordinary dvd is the picture quality. Blu Ray gives you cinema picture quality and you need a special player to play them on whereas normal dvd can look quite dull but usually they both include the same content but in this instance that doesn't sem to be the case because the gallery photos for the episode Heroes is missing from the blu ray box set.

Yeah, I understood that the blu rays are better quality etc. but I asked the question because you seem to be calling one lot 'dvds' but not the other, whereas I've always assumed that they're all dvds.

sorry maybe i am not explaining myself properly, yes they are both a form of dvd but the blu ray dvd's cannot be played on an ordinary dvd player, they need a blu ray player to watch them on and it seems like the blu ray box set does not have the same content as the ordinary dvd's.

the difference between blu ray and the normal dvd's is the picture quality. Blu Ray is a higher grade of quality with no dullness and sharper images and you need a blu ray player to play them on and it seems the blu ray box set is missing the episode Heroes from the picture gallery which is so annoying.

I have the standard remastered dvds - NOT the blu-ray ones - and there are no images from Heroes on them either.

lucky you, they must be on the later releases as they are definitely missing from the earlier ones. I have just ordered the box set that was released in September with all the discs in one box set, hopefully they will be on that one.
