That's a lovely image! Unusual, too, to see Bodie with that kind of troubled expression shown so vividly in his eyes. Very, very good. Thanks a lot.

(I don't suppose you've got any tips for a journal whose images dating back about 9 years have all been reduced to icon size? That's what I woke up to this morning...)

thankyou so much and yes he does seem troubled though knowing Bodie i'm certain he will shake himself out of it .

Oh dear , how has that happened . The only thing i can think of at present is to put your images through flickr and resize them or email me one or two and i will see if there is anything i can do to help or if i have the images also then i would resend them to you .

Thanks so much for your offer of help, you're incredibly kind. I'll try flickr but I think it might be to do with Mozilla updates and it's also to do with the table format I'm using i.e. the images are the right size until I post them into a table so I'm going to try and show them in a different way, perhaps using 2 lists. Thank god AO3 is a bit less temperamental than live journal.

if i could have helped i would . I hope everything gets sorted soon . Please let me know if you need me for anything , please don't hesitate to contact me .

Thank you again. I think it's to do with using a table format but why it should happen now is anyone's guess!

my fingers and toes are crossed that everything gets sorted soon . This tablet that i have that i store my pictures on has been good to me but the other one i used to own ...some days i would open up my gallery and some of my photos would have disappeared over night , how can a picture just vanish without any warning . Nice talking to you and *good morning* from me .

Afternoon! I think when pictures just disappear it's often to do with the hosting site e.g. tinypic and photobucket seem to do it all the time. I don't know if it's to do with copyright or what.

thank goodness all is well with this tablet, afternoon to you too .

I don't have a tablet and I don't think it's anything to do with my laptop.

are the pictures still the size of an icon .

Date: 2016-04-28 03:20 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] shooting2kill.livejournal.com
No, not in a post I'm working on now but all the previous posts are icon size. I've changed the width of the text which appears alongside the image and made it shorter and that seems to work. The wider the line of text the more it reduces the image. But I don't know if it will hold and I have to do it manually so I doubt if I'll be able to change all the previous posts. Thank goodness for A03 where the original codes for my posts seem to be OK!

it seems strange that everything seems ok on Ao3 and not on here . Do you know i still can't figure out how to post on Ao3, it just doesn't sink in , either it's me being thick or it's Ao3 not cooperating with me .

Well I don't know about the current problem but A03 is much more browser friendly than live journal and most browsers seem able to view the images of Visions at the intended size.

I think I've mentioned this before but (at least when it started, it might have changed by now) in order to post at AO3 you have to have some kind of ticket or membership which I really can't remember how you go about getting but I'm sure if you asked at your journal someone more clued up than me could let you know. After you've gained entry you can post there and it can't be that hard if I managed it because I'm the least technical person I know!

I have an account with Ao3 but gave up trying to post on there .It was either give up or fling the tablet at the wall .

Well I'm useless at these things but I thought it was fairly straightforward. You go to post, select new work and then copy and paste what you've already created from live journal (after you've filled in the little bits they want you to fill in). At least that's what I do. Which bit holds you up?

Errr all of it . I just give up on it . I should send you my work tonpost on my behalf haha xx

If you want to experiment I could 'lift' one from your journal and post it saying it's yours to let you see how it looked. Just let me know.

You would actually do that for me , thank you the only problem I would see is what to do about replying if there were any comments .

Date: 2016-04-28 09:56 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] shooting2kill.livejournal.com
Good point, but I *think* you can reply to comments as yourself, just as you can make a comment, but I could be completely wrong! I'd put a note at the top of the page saying it was your work and people would understand. I *think* it would work, not as a permanent solution but just to let you see what it would look like.

His expression is so soft, somehow tender. Lovely.
And after all this time I never noticed his collar before...
Thank you again for all the beautiful images you share.

thankyou so much , he does look in need of some comforting here but the look in his eyes says he won't need help for long though Doyle will be right there with him if he needs him .

This is a perfect pair with the anxious Doyle from the same series.

It's not often you see Bodie looking concerned rather than angry. He's a fighter not a worrier. But he's not insensitive and things do get to him.

I really like this as a portrait :0)

Thankyou so much , yes you can see in his eyes that he is troubled but knowing Bodie that won't last for long as you say he is a fighter and he will fight on I'm sure .

Love this one, and yes it's an unusual one for Bodie - he almost looks as if he has tears in his eyes. One of the things I love about LC is that he had a really good range of expression and great acting skill, and I've always felt sorry that he wasn't always called upon to use it to its full extent. He's a great (and delicious!) action hero, but he's also plenty more!

Thankyou so much for your lovely comment. This is also why I have always loved him , he has or should I say had such a variety of acting talents and to me noone could touch him for all out
action and just full on acting skills . There will never be anyone in my eyes who will match his acting ability but
then I'm biased when it comes to Lewis Collins.

Oh I totally agree with you there. Last night I was finally able to watch Lew in Jack the Ripper and I was so moved and entertained by his performance. I am still unsure whether I liked the miniseries overall or not, but Lew to me was definitely the best thing about it. His acting range, his comic timing, his screen presence... beautiful :)
Cheers x

Pardon me for interrupting but I just had to when you said that because I have the DVDs for Jack and haven't been able to bring myself to watch them yet bc I'm a little afraid of being overwhelmed by my feelings. Truly, LC was one of the greatest actors ever with incredible versatility.
