it happened about 8.30 last night . There was such a massive bang and i thought it was my car that had been hit , no , a motorcyclist had gone straight through the junction ,as there is a cross road outside of our house , he crashed head first into an on coming car , i think he died instantly because there was so much blood pouring out of him and the amount of damage to the car that hit him. seven police cars , a rapid response unit , an ambulance , the police photographer , the recovery vehicles and then the local authority having to send a vehicle out to spread sand over the road.i finally had two hours sleep. It's a weird feeling knowing there is a dead body at the front of your house . So that was my night last night .

yes it was a truly horrific event and one that could and should have been avoided ...if only the motorcyclist had stuck to the speed limit instead of doing 60 mph in a 20 mph zone ...many thanks for your good wishes x

Oh no, how horrible... Were the people in the car okay, do you know? It's the shock of something like that, even just hearing the sound and seeing the aftermath... Hope you have a calm, peaceful day today, and some good things around to remind you of them as well...

it was a horrible scene to witness ...the woman who hit the motorcyclist lives around the corner from us ...she was unharmed but this kind of thing not only effects the motorcyclist it effects the driver as well ...even today which is now two days on we have had a car go zooming up the street way beyond the speed limit for a bult up area ...thanks ever so much for your comment x

How awful. You must be feeling quite rattled and shocked by it all. I hope you can find some calm and peaceful space today to recover from what must've been a dreadful night. Take care of yourself, okay?

And you as well - I hope you can recover. That must have been an awful shock. Take care of yourself, and take a bit of time for yourself to recover too xx

sorry for the late response ....yes it was an horrendous scene and quite horrifying to watch someone die infront of your eyes like that but if only the motorcyclist had kept his speed down ..i feel so sorry now for each family involved as now there is still a reminder of what happened with people coming laying flowers at the crash site ...thankyou so much for your message x

...but I've been in the process of ditching Windows 10 and my computer's only just started behaving itself again. You must have been very shaken.

All I could think when I read it was how awful; awful for you, the drivers, the poor police officers who will have to break the bad news to the families, the families themselves whose worlds have just been turned upside down, the friends of those injured and deceased, it's just terrible.

Some things just seem to come with no silver lining. A very horrible night.

What a very, very sad thing to happen.

It's hard to comprehend how quickly lives can be changed, or even ended, so dramatically without warning.

No-one comes out of the experience unscathed. *hugs*

sorry for being so late in replying ...yes it just goes to show how within a matter of minutes lives can change forever , both families involved are now effectd by one motorcyclist who would insist on speeding in a built up area where the speed limit is only 20 mph ...thankyou for your message x

Awwwww... how horrible for everybody concerned. Feels like it's that kind of year, all in all... hope you've managed to sleep ok since, and thoughts with the motorcyclist's family. As a 'biker' myself I have a little shudder every time something like this happens- witnessed something similar at a junction as a kid and it stayed with me for sure.. xxx

yes i know what you mean , every time i step out of the door and look out to the spot where the crash happened it reappears all over again , i can't understand why the motorcyclist felt he had to travel at that speed in a built up area and now two families are effected forever ...thankyou for your message x

thankyou ....yes when things like this happen it isn't just the motorcyclist who is effected it's the driver of the car as well . When i stepped outside it had just happened because the wheels on the motorbike were still going round but it was obvious that he died on impact really with the speed and the amount of force that he hit the car with ...thankyou for your message x
