whilst browsing in a sports shop this morning i began to notice that quite alot of the retro sports clothing is now in fashion again ...these (i think) are the up to date version of the trainers bodie wore but at £70.00 i think i will wait a while

i love all the retro clothing thats out there at the moment ..i used to wear a tacchini track suit top and there i was walking around the store thinking "i used to wear one of them".,...gazelles are good right xx

I used to have a pair of those! The women's ones, in not-suede. Light blue with white stripes.

One of the better fashion items from the 70s. How awesome is that! Though I doubt I'm getting a pair, LOL.

Given the date, these are original Adidas shoes. They closely resemble the ones Starsky wore. His were blue SL 76. These have a sole to match the tan/biege rather than white like in your picture. There are a lot out there and sometimes you can find the original ones on ebay and at the thrift store. You can find these fairly close but most are dark brown with lighter stripes rather than the ones Bodie's wearing. I can't quite find the style no. for these particular ones. :)

there are so many adidas trainers out there that are very similar to the ones Bodie wears but i have a picture of him wearing something similar to these though obviously they have all been up dated now and i think the ones that Starsky wore are pretty much similar also x

Right. We know the model Starsky wore and they were re-released for the 2004 movie so you can still find them new, albeit the aftermarket is sometimes expensive.

I don't wear trainers, but back in the day I got some British Amateur Gymnastic Association stuff under my belt and dabbled in trampolining and swimming etc. (who would believe I mastered the butterfly?) so I had pumps and a tracksuit (olive green and dull red) and that was Adidas; these days I follow the stripes in black and white.

But still no trainers, although I've just bought a pair of something that's the closest I ever been and which bear a passing resemblance to Bodie's, if you don't look too closely and squint just right!

i love these retro adidas trainers but obviously prices dictate which trainers i buy but i do love the ones bodie wears but there are so many adidas trainers out there it's hard to know which make are exact but i love the look of these ones ..(only in brown though)..thanks for looking x

it's great seeing all the retro clothes back in the sports shop and i love boie's adidas trainers but deciding which make they are exactly is ongoing as there are so many adidas makes out there that look very similar ..it's funny how you can be browsing one minute and thinking of Bodie the next *g*

I had a pair of these in dark brown with cream stripes, bought in 1980 I think, and I wore them until they practically fell off my feet. Wouldn't mind another pair now, but like you said, they're pricey :-(

i used to have a pair , infact iv'e had a few pairs and i love Bodie's trainers but they are very expensive ...how i went from browsing for trainers to switching to thoughts of Bodie ...well you know me *g*
