On saturday evening i had to phone an ambulance for myself, my condition means that i suffer from vertigo and after the world kept spinning for more than eight hours it was time to call for an ambulance. The paramedics arrived, an older male paramedic and a younger female. After calming me down and helping me to sit up he said that this was the second time this week that he had been confronted with CI5. I have a professionals cushion on the chair. The world might be spinning but i'm listening as he asked "Who are you, Lewis Collins or Martin Shaw" he looked around and saw who exactly. While the paramedics stayed with me until the spinning had got to some sort of reasonable level, the time was spent talking pros and Bodie and the capri car.Thankyou to the North-West ambulance service and the paramedic who gets it.

Oh, vertigo is a nasty thing to have. I am so sorry to hear you are struggling with it. But 'Yeah' about the ambulance service and the special paramedic. It's so good to hear that talking about the lads and Lewis helped you calm down and forget the vertigo for the moment. I hope you're feeling better now, and I hug you because sometimes a hug is needed.

Awww bless you and thankyou for the hug, it is very much appreciated. Talking about Pros and Bodie imparticularly helped so much and even though the spinning hadn't stopped completely it was still an enjoyable conversation.

Hugs returned to you, thankyou.

Sorry to hear you were feeling poorly. Verigo doesn't sund like much fun. And what are the chances of your ambulance man knowing all about Pros! Glad that helped you feel a bit better.

Hope you're doing well - *hugs*

Thankyou so much, yes the vertigo attacks are really unpleasant especially when the world won't stop spinning but i can still manage a conversation on all things pros even though i can't see anything infront of me *g*

Thankyou.

Oh, vertigo is horrible, and to have it for so many hours is ghastly. But how lovely that the paramedic knew about The Professionals and was able to chat with you about Bodie and Doyle. I wonder what his other experience had been that this was the second time that week he'd encountered CI5. I hope that all has calmed down now. And super photos.

Yes it's not the best when the world won't stop spinning but i'm still happy to talk pros even though i can't open my eyes . I'm not sure what the other CI5 encounter was, i can only presume that someone else had The Professionals on diisplay when he attended their house but talking about the lads past a good half hour on and thanks for liking the images.

Thankyou.

I'm glad having the CI5 encounter helped distract you.

Vertigo is just a horrible feeling and i guess you have experienced it. Unfortunately this is something i have to live with though medication does control it up to a point but the attack on saturday was a nasty one.

Talking Bodie and pros was a welcome relief *g*

Thankyou.

I have something called bppv, benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, but it feels anything but benign. It's caused by crystals in the inner ear moving around. If I turn my head a certain way or change positions too quickly, I get that sickly spinning sensation. When I have a full on attack, I can't watch TV, read or really take care of myself. I just sit with my eyes closed and pray for it to pass. There are exercises to help settle the crystals and sometimes it resolves on it's own. It can take days or weeks even. However, I've learned that I can't lie on my left side at all and I can't lie flat on my back. If I do, when I sit up, it's a huge attack of vertigo. Medication doesn't help me.

Whatever the cause of yours, I wish you relief. It truly can be very debilitating and can negatively impact one's quality of life.

I know exactly what you mean, i have also been treated for Bppv and have been given excersises to send the crystals back to where they should be but the consultant said she may end up dropping me backwards off the end of a table. I am also being treated for something called Menier'es disease where the fluid in the ear stays there causing a severe imbalance in the ear. I also have to lie in a certain position and i can't lie flat.

Thankyou for sharing your experience.

Thankyou so.much, i do feel better now compared to saturdays's episode. It does take it out of you and takes a while to feel somewhat normal again.

Thankyou.
