A trip to the lakes

The Lake District in it's misty, murky splendour



Lake Windermere surrounded in cloud and overcast skies



But the sun did break through eventually



Pity it didn't shine on the lake .

The lake distract is an area of outstanding beauty come rain or shine. The dark clouds didn't distract from the beautiful views.

It is simply stunning with views that take your breath away, it is a part of the uk that is known for it's natural beauty and Windermere is the main village that everyone heads for because of the lake. Who knows, one day you might just get there.

It was a lovely day, the Lake Districit is an hours drive from where i live so we had the day there and it was lovely just to be out in the countryside and to take in those wonderful views.

I visited the Lake District for a couple of days last October. We had a lot of rain but the area was really beautiful.

We stayed in Penrith and drove three days through this stunning area, stopping at nice places or small towns.
