Yeah, I think that's a great scene and very well acted by Bodie. His reaction is sort of subdued but very natural. The same when he's in the car with Cowley and Cowley receives bad news about Doyle... Bodie's facial reaction says it all.

exactly, it's not over reacting from Bodie's point of view, it's a feeling of general concern and a message sent to Doyle to fight. I love this episode and the scene that is played out between Mr Cowley and Bodie when Bodie is replaying the past events of that day is a huge favourite of mine.

i totally agree (i will always agree where Lewis is concerned) but his acting is wonderful. There is no over reacting on Bodie's part just someone who is gravely concerned for his mate and willing him to keep on fighting....beautiful.

thankyou, i love this scene from this episode and Lewis plays this soooo good, no over reacting on his part, just a gentle persuasion for Doyle to keep on fighting.

I love all the comments written here and your replies. I've always been stunned by Lewis' acting in this ep, his quiet despair coupled with stubborn determination (at least on the outside) to see his mate live through this ordeal. And i find his controlled, disciplined reactions in this ep nicely in contrast with in Cowley's ones, who can only barely contain his anger and panic should Doyle take a turn for the worse. For example, in his scene with Bodie at the hospital when he snaps, "...and do what? There's nothing you can do here..." (we know he ended up sounding more harsh towards Bodie than he might have intended, but he's under great stress and shock). I also think the degree of his worry about Doyle's chances to survive is revealed in the scene where he sits in what looks like a theatre or lecture hall later in the episode and before Bodie walks in, as he's on the phone with someone and talking in French, saying something like "I hope so too..." (probably in reply to a question asking how his injured agent was and wishing he'd recover soon), and while doing so holding his head in one of his hands. Anyway, sorry for rambling on, but one of the things I like the most in DiaG is watching how Bodie and Cowley, whether together or separately, react to and reveal their private worries at Doyle, often through small physical signs.

please don't apologise for your long reply, it's always nice to guage other people's reaction. I also love how Bodie doesn't over react in this episode, a quiet concern and an urge for his friend to keep on fighting and the scene between himself and Mr Cowley when he is reliving the day is one of my favourites.

i love how there is no over reaction from Bodie, he simply does what is needed and although concerned he keeps it well under contol and urges his friend to keep on fighting. I think Lewis's acting is immense in this episodeand i particularly love the scene when Bodie is reliving the day with Mr Cowley watching on.
