Simple question on todays quiz show "the chase" THE QUESTION :- who played Bodie in The Professionals ...Yes correct answer LEWIS COLLINS , well done the chaser .Thats twice he's been mentioned on tv in as many days *sighs*

thankyou, it was just lovely to hear his name mentioned.

The other time was on Sunday night when "codename wildgeese" was shown on one of the movie channels on sky when my heart did a tripple leap .

Yes, it is nice to hear him mentioned - I just wish they'd give The Professionals a proper airing.

It's still good enough for evening viewing.

mmmmm i know what you mean . They do sometimes repeat the show on ITV 4 but with huge amounts cut out.

After hearing one or two interviews on tv i think the violence is too much but it could still be shown at a later time . It would be great to see it back on tv.

I had to rewind to listen to it twice , it was just so lovely to hear his name mentioned and yes two days running.....bliss.

i was sat watching when the question came out and i thought "don't get this wrong PLEASE" then when he said Lewis Collins i had to rewind it *sigh* but it was just lovely to hear his name mentioned .

To be fair, although ITV4 do edit quite extensively, I couldn't say they butcher the eps.

But if they were shown in the evening, after the watershed, say, they could be shown uncut and unedited.

I'm not sure about Klansman - I don't think the racism would be controversial now - things have moved on - but it's so naively handled I think the crassness of it would be offensive. Although they could put up warnings and show it much later.

They repeat The Sweeney too, but I don't think it holds up as well as Pros.

i'm sure they could show the programme again definitley after the watershed the show is still as good as it's always been.

I'm not sure about klansman ..i still think some people would complain about its content .

I'm not too bothered about The Sweeny , it wasn't as good as The Professionals imo.
