I then turned my attention to the box that included the documents for the gold capri which followed the silver capri, obviously the first documents were signed over to the production team at The professionals and there have been a few owners of the car since but there was also this letter

(I will type out what is said in the letter)
SOLAR GOLD FORD CAPRI 3.0s- OAR576V as driven by Martin Shaw (Doyle) in The Professionals
Condition
OAR576V is offered in superb condition having undergone light restoration in 2011 by the current owner with meticulous attention to detail. It is a matching number car fitted with a full stainless steel quality exhaust system. The engine and gearbox have been fully reconditioned as a matter of course and the engine has excellent oil pressure. The interior is in fabulous original condition with front fishnet recaro seats. The vehicle features it's original alloys and period Goodyear grand prix 185 70 13 tyres. Current mileage on the speedometer is 43, 222 miles. The engine bay has been detailed to concourse standard - even the rear parcel shelf is original and in excellent condition.Overall a beautiful original Ford Capri 3.0s in it's original colour of solar gold.
History:-
OAR576V was first registered to the ford motor company in Brentwood, Essex on the 9th june 1980 and 16 days later on the 23rd june 1980 was supplied on loan to Mark 1 productions
Ltd for the filming of series 4 of The Professionals tv series (the only proviso from ford was that the vehicle was to wear the false registration plate OAR576W on the screen so that the vehicle appeared 'new' on first TV transmission date of seies 4 ie 19th October 1980 when the first episode in series 4 "blackout" was transmitted on ITV by which stage the 'W' suffix had already been released by the DVLA on 1st August 1980 - hence the ford motor company got free advertising of a 'new' ford capri 3.0s on a popular ITV show at peak viewing times)
OAR576V was allocated to Martin Shaw who acted the part of "Doyle" in "The Professionals" and the car went on to feature in 10 episodes of the series.
Blackout, it's only a beautiful picture, blood sports, hijack, you'll be alright, kickback, discovered in a graveyard, foxhole on the roof, operation susie, the untouchables.
The current owner purchased the vehicle on the 1st October 2007 and a history file is available with the vehicle.
Included also was this signed photo

A magazine belonging to the capri club which features the Gold capri (a collectors item)

And finally a photo of Martin

My day was now complete apart from the final outcome, the cars and what they sold for, which happened to be £166.000 WOW.
